The Ghana Law Society was set up in 1960 by an Act to consolidate and amend the law relating to the Legal Profession in Ghana. The Legal Profession Act, 1960 (Act 32). The scope of the Legal Profession Act includes organisation of legal education and upholding standards of professional conduct and discipline.
The Ghana Law Society is the main regulatory body for the conduct and administration of legal education and profession in Ghana.
